What we pass on

A story about a young girl trying to discover the origin of her trauma.

This stop motion film follows a young girl who carries invisible scars passed down through generations. These past wounds shape her reality and echo throughout her family, affecting how she relates to the world, trusts others and heals. On her internal journey, she tries to peel back the layers that have shaped her, allowing her to discover the origin of these scars.

This movie is a piece of me. As a child, a lot of times, I got forgotten by my parents. My brother and sister took a lot of time from them. Through the years I’ve grown more open towards my parents but even if they’ll try they’d never understand how I felt. With this movie I want to give children the capacity to make their parents understand how they feel at such a young age.
